What’s eating you?

Is worry eating you? Do you find yourself making “what if” statements? Do you find yourself overthinking everything instead of being like Nike and going to “just do it”?

Well I have great news.

I want to help you conquer your fears, gain clarity and possess true inner peace and happiness.

Before we get into a key practice that can help you make all of the above a true reality, I want you to know that you can always schedule an appointment to speak with me or one of the therapist at Honor Your Emotions. For all of our virtual clients I have an upcoming online surprise that I can’t to release to you. Oh yea it’s going down!

Okay back to our exercise . . .

For this session you will need a paper and something to write with.

Let’s begin . . .

I want you to close your eyes (after you finish this sentence of course) and picture your absolute BEST life.

Got a picture in your mind? Now close your eyes and dream up an even bigger picture.

Got it?

Good.

Now answer these questions:

  • If you wake up tomorrow and all of your worries magically disappeared, what would you?
  • Where would you go?
  • How would you act?
  • What would you wear?
  • What would you eat?
  • How would you feel?

Now what stops you from waking up like that every single day of your life?

Here are some possibilities:

  • Fear
  • Anxiety
  • Worry
  • Negative mental attitude
  • Current health condition
  • Statements like:
  • “I can’t”
  • “What if”
  • “Only those kind of people can do that”
  • “That’s not reality”
  • “I have to be responsible”

Besides fear, worry is the big term here that I want to address today. Worry is the very thing that makes us say things like, “I would LOVE to go to Paris, but I have bills and responsibilities. I can’t just go to France.”

“I can’t just be happy like that.”

“I can’t just go and do that.”

When in reality, yes you can.

It may take planning, saving, budgeting, re-organizing something and it may even take (matter fact it WILL take) changing your mind about it but you CAN have the very thing you dreamt up.

This is not mumbo-jumbo, this is your real actual hard-fought life and you deserve to LOVE YOUR LIFE. You work to long, give too much, love too hard not to enjoy your time here. Everything in balance and moderation. So let’s work on those “I can’t statements” and let’s tackle worry.

Let’s get you back to LOVING LIFE!
