Laughing relieves stress.

Even the ancient bible says in Proverbs 17:22:

“A merry heart is like medicine but a broken spirit dries out one’s bones.”

Now I can already hear you already saying, I’ll laugh when there is something funny. But why wait?

Let’s be honest there is a lot in life that is not funny right now. The environment, politics, national economics, health, personal finances or maybe aspects of your life/family could be all in disarray.

While you can allow for these all to be reasons why you hold on to seriousness and reality, they are also all reasons why laughter for you right now is NECESSARY.

Here are the reasons why:

Relaxes muscles

  • Improves cardiac health
  • Boost immune system
  • Lowers blood pressure
  • Helps with weight loss
  • Temporarily disables all negative thoughts*
  • Reduces stress hormones
  • Increases endorphins
  • Strengthens relationships

Why are you not laughing right now? Laughter is truly medicine to your body, soul, and mind.

When you laugh you temporarily disable the mind from dwelling on negative thoughts, and as we teach in our practice thoughts are things. What you focus on truly expands and becomes magnified to an even greater degree.

Shrink the power of stress in your laugh by finding funny. No, this does not mean your situation magically goes away but it does mean you take your power back from the outside circumstance fully running your emotions. When your thoughts and emotions are dwelling on a negative thought too long it begins to dry your bones.

I don’t want that to be you.

Kick start laughter:

  • Start laughing (if you fake it eventually you will really start laughing at yourself)
  • Watch funny films or tv shows
  • Go to a comedy
  • Surround yourself weekly with funny people or environments
  • Follow funny memes or social media accounts
  • Watch funny videos on social media (yes cat and dog videos count)
  • Laugh at yourself (there’s got to be something silly you do once a day)
  • Do something silly (actually stop right now and do it then smile)
  • What items can you add to the list?

Laughter is truly medicine.

I dare you to belly laugh at something once a week, then every other day until you can work yourself up to every day.

Watch your life completely transform.
